What originally attracted you to the IZEA community and how did you find out about it?
I signed up for IZEA when I first started blogging. I knew absolutely nothing about the blogging world, but I noticed some of my favorite bloggers were doing sponsored posts and Social Spark was being mentioned over and over. I knew that if the bloggers I was looking up to were having success with them then I wanted in on it too! I’m so glad I signed up, they are so easy to work with and always have exciting campaigns!

A fun blog to find delicious step-by-step recipes from easy weeknight meals to gorgeous desserts with the help of a chef turned blogger!
What inspires you to blog?
Food! I’m obsessed with food. After my family, food is my life, my passion. I have so many ideas I want to share with my readers that I will never be able to give up my little corner of the internet!
Do you ever get stumped for what to write? How do you overcome this?
Yes and no. I’m never at a loss of dishes to make but sometimes I just can’t find my voice. I’ll have my recipe all laid out and ready to type up and will stumble to find the right words to express myself. But, that’s the beauty of blogging, being able to take your time and convey to your audience exactly what you want to say on your own terms. I love it.
If you were President for a day what would be your first order of business?
Wow, it would be a scary world if I was voted to be President, LOL. Only having one day, I couldn’t get much done, but I would try to set up some type of no child hungry fundraiser or something along those terms.
What do you love about IZEA?
To be honest, the best part about IZEA is how much they offer for sponsored posts. I believe they are one of the most fair companies in that aspect and really appreciate our hard work as bloggers.
What has been your favorite IZEA campaign?
The Gallo Wine campaign. That sangria was awesome!
How do you actively stay engaged with your audience?
I stay engaged by being active on social media. I’m Pinterest-obsessed and I think many of my readers are too, that’s where I can connect with them and share our favorite things!
What tips can you give other bloggers that can help set them apart and stand out?
Just be yourself. Vulnerability and talking about topics outside of the box will make you more approachable to your readers. No one wants someone who is too perfect.

If I could, I would take a day off and do absolutely nothing. There is a lot more to blogging than some people think, it definitely consumes my time more than a full time job!
