April 6, 2015 – ORLANDO, FL – IZEA Inc.‘s (OTCQB:IZEA) Ted Murphy, CEO and Chairman, will soon be knocking on Jacksonville’s door as he speaks at the 2015 One Spark Speaker Summit on April 7, 2015, at The Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville, Fla.

The One Spark Speaker Summit, presented by Community First Credit Union, is an inspirational one-day conference held the day before One Spark, the world’s largest crowdfunding festival. The Summit will bring together some of the most accomplished founders, creatives, makers and doers from around the country to share their stories.

Murphy’s Session, Running the Red Line, will take place on Tuesday, April 7 at 10:45 a.m. ET. In this session, Murphy will share the ups and downs of his 20-plus year entrepreneurial journey. From his days of funding companies off credit cards, to raising money from the world’s leading venture capitalists and, most recently, taking his company public, Murphy will share all the successes and failures he has experienced along the way.

“People rarely talk about the ugly side of being an entrepreneur,” said Murphy. “It isn’t all bubble gum and rainbows. My goal is to help One Spark’s entrepreneurs understand that there are going to be tremendous challenges, and that is completely normal. If being an entrepreneur was easy or safe, then everyone would do it.”

At this year’s Summit, Murphy will be in good company as featured speakers include Jeff Hoffman (founder of Priceline.com) and Tamara Mendehlson (VP, Marketing for Eventbrite). Additionally, two powerhouse speakers will headline the Summit: Jack Welch, Executive Chairman of the Jack Welch Management Institute and Former CEO of General Electric, and Suzy Welch, New York Times Bestselling Author and former editor of the Harvard Business Review.

The One Spark Speaker Summit takes place just prior to the opening ceremony for The World’s Largest Crowdfunding Festival, One Spark. The festival is free for the public to attend and showcases nearly 600 projects ranging from art to tech and from science to music. The projects will showcase in a 20-square block in downtown Jacksonville from April 7-12, attracting more than 260,000 attendees. For complete details, visit www.onespark.com/festival.
