IZEA CEO Ted Murphy comments on Apple’s new retail plan, which now allows users to trade-in damaged iPhones.

Apple’s “Reuse and Recycling” program had, up until now, allowed customers to trade in undamaged older iPhone models for credit.

But the change in the service means consumers are now able to trade-in iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units with damaged displays, cameras and buttons, as well as older models, according to a report in the 9To5Mac blog, citing sources. The damage on the iPhone must be “within reason”, the article adds.
