Melissia Bruehl is responsible for the overall recruitment strategies and implementation as well as overseeing the development and growth of our company culture. Melissia joined the IZEA team in the summer of 2014 to build IZEAs first-ever Talent Acquisition team where she focuses on constantly improving the candidate experience and finding top talent to join the IZEA team.
Prior to joining IZEA, Melissia spent 12 years with Disney Parks and Resorts in various different roles including training, leadership and recruitment. While many of these opportunities provided her with skills she uses to this day, it was while she was a Training Manager with Disney Vacation Club that she found her true calling. Melissia thrives in helping others find careers that align with their passions. This led her to a role with Disney Internship and Programs for over 4 years where she identified top-talent for many business units, while traveling across the country to recruit on campuses in 12 different states.
Melissia is a graduate of The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Hearing Science along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in MIS. She also has an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Melissia lives in Orlando with her husband and twin daughters.
