As SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Sandra Carbone advises senior leadership and liaises with the Board of Directors, as well as provides effective legal counsel to IZEA’s team members on a variety of domestic and international issues affecting our industry.

Prior to joining IZEA in December 2015, Sandra was in-house counsel for Universal Orlando and, most recently, Darden Restaurants, a Fortune 500 corporation headquartered in Orlando, Florida. She received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law (cum laude) and her B.A. in English with a minor in Magazine Journalism from the University of Central Florida. Sandra is a published author and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

A lifelong servant-leader, Sandra has served on the Board for the Central Florida Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and volunteers on its Street Law committee, is a 2015 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, and a former member of WOMMA’s Ethics & Legal Council. She participates as a mediator for the Orange County Bar Association’s Citizen Dispute Settlement Program, and has spoken on panels for annual conferences of the ACC and the Florida Bar.
